A crucial aspect of this process is ensuring the new module is balanced with the existing ones, as improper balancing can lead to battery issues as well. It is also vital to correctly reconnect the cooling system and properly seal the battery cover to prevent moisture or other problems. The cost of battery repair depends on the battery type, the nature of the issue, and the number of modules that need replacement (if any).

Removing a 1,200 lb battery pack from a Tesla Model S requires a car lift, specialized high-end equipment, and a movable battery table capable of supporting the weight. This complex operation should only be performed by highly trained technicians with extensive industry experience, like ours. When handled by inexperienced personnel, connectors can be damaged, leading to the costly replacement of the entire high-voltage wiring system or the case, which is also quite expensive. This significantly increases the overall repair cost. Don't do this at home!

This allows them to increase the vehicle's range on a single charge while also installing a newer battery with lower mileage. Although many upgrades are prompted by battery failure, it’s important to note that you don't have to wait for failure to upgrade your battery.
